I'm a big battle bots fan. When Olin's staffed and sponsored team, Valkyrie, announced a fan art competition, I had to make something. I used it as opportunity to learn more about the 3D animation software Blender.
Using images as reference, I modeled Valkyrie's angular stealth fighter body and curvy toothed blade.
Instead of manually creating the ornate kit-bashed filigrees, I used procedural noise to approximate the look and feel. I used a voronoi texture
